Geride Kalanlar
‘GerideKalanlar’ başlıklı görsel araştırma iki hatta ilerliyor. İlk hat, göçmenlerin çoğunlukla içinden geçtikleri, uğrak kentlerde bıraktıkları izlerin peşinden gidiyor. Bu izler yıkık ve harabe binalardan, kentlerin yerlilerine bıraktıkları hikayelere kadar uzanıyor. İkinci hat ise, göçmenlerin gelişiyle kentlerde yaratılan dayanışma ağlarına uzanıyor. Suruç’tan, Antep, Ankara, İstanbul ve İzmir’e, Selanik ve Atina’dan, Belgrad, Zagreb ve Berlin’e uzanan bu pratikler, dijital ortamda mekanlararası dayanışma ağları örgütlüyor. Oluşturulan video kesitler ve metinler; Suriye’nin kuzeyinden Avrupa’ya savaşın izleri, sınır kentlerinde örgütlenen otonomiler, yeni karşılaşmalar ve karşılaşmalardan türeyen hikayeleri anlama ve çoğaltma çabasından ibaret.
The Residuals
The visual research project “The Residuals” unfolds along two interconnected trajectories. The first follows the traces left by migrants in the cities they pass through and temporarily inhabit. These traces range from ruined and abandoned buildings to the stories they leave behind for the people who live in these cities. The second trajectory follows the networks of solidarity that emerge in cities through the arrival of migrants. Extending from Suruç, Antep, Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir to Thessaloniki and Athens, and onward to Belgrade, Zagreb, and Berlin, these practices form translocal networks of solidarity through digital platforms. The video fragments and texts produced as part of the project constitute an attempt to understand and multiply the traces of war stretching from northern Syria to Europe; the forms of autonomy organized in border cities; new encounters; and the stories that emerge from these encounters.
